Sony Channel to Premiere “Better Late Than Never”

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The adventure of a lifetime for four celebrated men from across different genres kicks off in Tokyo on Sunday, April 2 with the premiere of the addictive new series “Better Late Than Never.” This fish-out-water travelogue series follows cultural icons Henry Winkler, William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw and George Foreman as they traverse Asia exploring different countries and cultures.

With no schedule and no itinerary, the only help will come from comic sidekick Jeff Dye, a young tech-savvy comedian with an agenda of his own and who isn’t above leading the men off track.

Navigating their way through six cities and four countries, the five men make connections with the local population, immerse themselves in local traditions and sample exotic food -- all the while dealing with the unexpected twists and frequently hilarious turns that any trip presents. Checking off items on their own personal ‘bucket list,’ the men will also reveal different sides to their personalities as they support one another and find themselves bonding in surprising and meaningful ways.

“We had to build a relationship quickly for the show and when you put five total strangers together, you just don’t know how it is going to be received,” said Terry Bradshaw, four-time Super Bowl champion for the Pittsburgh Steelers. “We had a blast, an absolute blast and I've got all of these new friends.”

The five of men will travel to iconic cities across Asia starting in Tokyo, Japan where they are immediately out of their element and can’t even find their way out of the train station. Other cities include Kyoto, Hong Kong, Seoul, Phuket and Chiang Mai. Each stop is packed with hilarious cultural experiences, heartwarming spectacles and unexpected twists as the legends take on this unforgettable adventure.

The eclectic group of travellers include:

Terry Bradshaw– A four-time Super Bowl champion quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, a two-time Super Bowl MVP and Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee as well as a multi-Emmy and award-winning broadcaster on Fox NFL Sunday. Bradshaw is also a popular actor, New York Times bestselling author and the only NFL player with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

George Foreman – This Olympic gold medallist won the title in his only 25th amateur fight at the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City. He’s fought against boxing legends, Mohammad Ali, Ken Norton and Joe Frazier. He retired in 1997 after compiling an amazing 76-5 record.

William Shatner – Shatner has cultivated a career spanning more than 50 years as an award-winning actor, director, producer, writer and recording artist. He is one of Hollywood’s most recognisable figures and a major philanthropist. Apart from starring as Captain Kirk in “Star Trek”, he’s won Emmys and his first Golden Globe for his role on “The Practice” and “Boston Legal”.

Henry Winkler – Winkler has enjoyed four decades of success in Hollywood and continues to be in demand as an actor, producer and director. Best known for his iconic role of The Fonz in the TV series “Happy Days”, Winkler has won two Golden Globe Awards, was nominated three times for an Emmy Award and was also honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Jeff Dye – Dye is a comedian, host, actor and prankster. He got his start in the stand-up competition series “Last Comic Standing” where he finished third. Since then he has had two of his own shows on MTV, his own Comedy Central special and on numerous other TV projects.

“Better Late Than Never” premieres Sunday, April 2 at 8:00pm on Sony Channel.

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The largest sports media property in Asian history, ONE Championship™ (ONE), in conjunction with Predator gaming laptops, recently held an Exclusive Media Day for ONE: KINGS OF DESTINY, featuring main event combatants ONE Lightweight World Champion Eduard “Landslide” Folayang of Baguio City, Philippines, and challenger Ev “E.T.” Ting of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The two fighters faced off in front of the media at the Top of the Citi Restaurant in Citibank Tower on Tuesday, 28 March, in Manila.

Photos of the ONE: KINGS OF DESTINY Exclusive Media Day can be found here: https://1drv.ms/f/s!Am0VcTcnsBbptHdKg-gIu-3zK7ZE.

Eduard Folayang, ONE Lightweight World Champion, stated: “I always consider every fight a tough one because every fighter goes into the cage with the intent to give more than a hundred per cent of themselves. Every fighter prepares very well at this level and they all have their own uniqueness and strategy. It all depends on how our styles will match up. Keeping the title is what I plan to do. This title means a lot to me, and I can’t just let it go easily.”

Ev Ting, ONE world title challenger, stated: “Eduard displayed the best version of himself in the Shinya (Aoki) fight when he won the title. He displayed a lot of patience, he exploded at the right times, and put pressure on at the right times, so he showed a very top-caliber Eduard Folayang, and I expect nothing less in April. His wrestling is solid, his timing is obviously one of his strongest strengths, and he defended everything from Shinya despite strong positioning, so yeah, I have a hard task ahead of me.”

Eduard “Landslide” Folayang of the legendary Team Lakay in Baguio City is one of the Philippines’ most experienced mixed martial artists. After nearly a decade of competing in various promotions, Folayang has amassed an impressive 17-5 professional MMA record. The 33-year-old veteran authored a career resurgence in 2016, winning three consecutive bouts against high-profile opponents while showcasing a highly-improved wrestling and grappling arsenal. In his last bout, Folayang shocked the world by capturing the ONE Lightweight World Championship with a sensational victory over Japanese MMA legend Shinya Aoki. Folayang will now put his title on the line against Ev Ting.

Ev “E.T.” Ting is a mixed martial artist with deep roots in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Living and training out of Auckland, New Zealand, Ting owns a stellar 13-3 professional record, including four wins by submission and four exciting knockouts. A winner of his last four bouts over top-caliber opponents, Ting is one of the most talented mixed martial artists to come out of Malaysia. In his most recent bout last February, Ting overcame a tough challenge from MMA veteran Kamal Shalorus to win by split decision. The victory earned him a date with ONE Lightweight World Champion Eduard Folayang in Manila.

Sangobion Launches Sulong Dugong Pinoy Campaign with Sarah Geronimo

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Sarah Geronimo has been part of the Sangobion family for two years now, and she is the kind of celebrity that seems true from the heart when it comes to product endorsements. She maybe very popular as both a singer and actress, still she outshines many when it comes to being a brand ambassador. After all, she exemplifies what we want in our lives, a joyful and approachable aura that makes us want to make an effort to have some photo ops and selfies with her.

It was great for her handlers to allow us a few minutes for selfies with her though we would have appreciate a longer time for interview just as how the certain TV media outfits were given the opportunity. Of course, since Sarah Geronimo is with Viva, they also got plenty of time with her. I do hope they recognize bloggers as better and able sources of media mileage for them since everyone is online nowadays. The future is online thus all the other media outfits from traditional media have created their own online counterparts to support their medium.

Aside from having a very honorable advocacy in partnership with Sangobion to make our blood healthy, the campaign also aims to conduct the biggest blood donation event where participants would also get the chance for their bloods to be screened as a way to find out if they are also healthy or not, anemic or normal, with teh help of the Philippine Red Cross.

Anemia is a condition that develops when your blood lacks enough healthy red blood cells or hemoglobin. Iron-deficiency anemia, the most common type, is very treatable with diet changes and iron supplements.

Sangobion helps us get back to or maintain the "normal" condition of our blood caused by decreased or faulty red blood cell production.
