Wazzup Pilipinas!?
In a world where young people increasingly navigate silent struggles, creating safe, welcoming spaces to speak openly and seek help matters now more than ever
A Shared Mission of Hope and Resilience
Driven by a commitment to empower the next generation and strengthen communities, SM Cares successfully mounted "Better Days: A Youth Mental Health Caravan."
The movement is anchored in the powerful theme: “A Space for Sharing of Hope, Creating Connections, and Building Better Communities.”
Joaquin San Agustin, Executive Vice President for Marketing of SM Supermalls, captured the heart of the initiative:
"At SM Cares, we believe a stronger nation begins with young people who know that their lives matter, that their voices have value, and that there are people and communities ready to stand beside them... And when young people feel heard, valued, and supported, they become better equipped to face challenges, care for others, and take part in building the communities they want to live in."
Uniting Forces for the Youth
A mission of this magnitude requires collective action. The Better Days caravan was brought to life through a formidable collaboration between SM Cares and key organizations dedicated to youth welfare:
Mental Health Youth Hub PH
I AM MAD (Making A Difference)
The National Youth Commission (NYC)
Global Peace Foundation Philippines
Powered by the Global Youth Summit
This united front was officially solidified on June 24 through a landmark memorandum of understanding signed by SM Cares, the National Youth Commission (represented by Commissioner Undersecretary Joseph Francisco “Jeff” Ortega), and Mental Health Youth Hub PH
Igniting Conversations That Matter
The multi-mall caravan kicked off its inspiring journey at the SM North EDSA Skydome on July 3, with upcoming activations scheduled at the SM Center Pulilan Atrium and SM City Molino Cinema 1
The event features dynamic panel discussions, interactive activities, and powerful talks from prominent youth advocates and resource speakers
Through raw emotions, shared tears of relief, and powerful embraces, the participants not only envisioned a future where days get better—they actively learned how to build it, together
