A New Chapter for Knowledge: Ateneo Journals Find a Home in the Manila City Library

In a powerful move to dismantle the "ivory tower" of academia, the Ateneo de Manila University has officially partnered with the Manila City Library to bring high-level scholarly research directly to the heart of the public. This landmark initiative transforms how knowledge is shared, ensuring that groundbreaking literature and research journals are no longer confined to university walls but are accessible to every curious mind in the city.

Breaking the Barriers of Learning

The collaboration began with initial discussions between the Ateneo de Manila Press and the city library, fueled by a shared commitment to inclusive education. By placing these works in a public space, the university is actively breaking down the barriers that often keep academic dialogue isolated from the communities it aims to serve.

A Wealth of Wisdom

The first wave of this initiative is nothing short of impressive: close to a hundred journal copies spanning a vast array of disciplines. The collection includes:

Diverse Disciplines: Humanities, cultural studies, social sciences, and sustainability.

Key Titles: Notable publications such as Perspectives in the Arts and Humanities Asia, Budhi: A Journal of Ideas of Culture, and Philippine Studies: Historical and Ethnographic Viewpoints.

Global Impact: Research that bridges local insights with global contexts, curated for both academic specialists and general readers.

This collection represents a broad spectrum of work, from evocative poetry and fiction to rigorous academic journals.
