Wazzup Pilipinas!?
There is a parallel dimension lurking within the borders of the Philippines. It is a realm where gravity has no hold on truth, where the laws of logic are suspended, and where accountability is a foreign language. Welcome to the collective consciousness of the DDS—a group whose cognitive dissonance is so profound, it truly feels like they are operating from a different plane of existence.
The Architectures of an Alternate Reality
For the average citizen, facts are the bedrock of society. For the DDS, facts are merely suggestions—or worse, enemies. Their worldview is constructed upon a series of staggering, reality-defying beliefs:
The "Bayaran" Delusion: In their multiverse, any journalist, fact-checker, or human rights group that holds power to account is branded as "paid." They have successfully convinced themselves that objective reporting is a conspiracy, while their own biased echo chambers are the only sources of "truth."
The Martyr Complex: Despite mountains of documented audit findings, historical records, and public controversies, they maintain that their political idols are nothing more than victims of persecution. They have rewritten history to paint the architects of corruption as the ultimate victims of it.
The Mirage of Safety: They cling to the myth of the "Omnipotent Savior," believing that crime and drugs vanished during the Duterte years. They ignore the reality that under the previous regime, syndicates thrived and the streets remained as dangerous as ever—they simply replaced legitimate justice with a culture of fear.
The McCarthyism of the Modern Age: To question a Duterte is to be branded an "NPA," a communist, or a "corned beef." It is a convenient label used to silence dissent, yet the irony is thick: those loudest in labeling others are often the ones sowing the most chaos in the streets.
The Anatomy of Blind Devotion
The most baffling aspect of this phenomenon is the inversion of blame. They have managed to twist the narrative to blame critics for the country’s current state, conveniently forgetting that they were the ones who paved the path for the current administration. They argue that being a critic of the Duterte dynasty somehow equates to supporting their political rivals—a logical leap that defies every shred of common sense.
Even more startling is the elevation of incompetence to brilliance. Despite a track record defined by questionable performance and public anomalies, their leaders are treated as intellectual titans. It is a devotion so absolute that the followers are willing to die for their idols, yet they refuse to ask the one question that matters: "Where is the accountability?"
The Ultimate Question: Who is the Cult?
They often mock others as being "cult-like," but let us hold up a mirror.
What do you call a group that labels every piece of evidence, every court case, and every financial anomaly as "politically motivated"? What do you call people who are more enraged by those asking questions than by the officials stealing from the public coffers?
When you abandon logic, facts, and consistency to protect a surname, you are no longer a citizen—you are a devotee.
The Kakampink Ethos: Criticize those you support when they stumble.
The DDS Ethos: Defend those you worship even when they fall.
Political loyalty is a healthy part of a democracy. Blind devotion is the death of it.
The tragedy of the DDS is that it demands the sacrifice of one’s own intellect. It requires the educated to play the fool, the rational to ignore the evidence, and the logical to embrace the absurd. They are being hoodwinked in broad daylight, yet they are the loudest ones cheering for their own deception.
So, the next time the word "cult" is thrown around, take a long, hard look at the mirror. Because when you worship an idol more than you value the truth, you have ceased to participate in a nation—you have only succeeded in joining a delusion.
